STUDY OVERVIEW

Building clinical evidence for a patient-specific approach

The 3D-Shelf is a patient-specific, extra-articular implant designed for selected adults with symptomatic hip dysplasia. Its design is based on the individual patient's anatomy and is intended to augment acetabular coverage while preserving the native hip joint.

The ATHENA study was initiated at Anna Hospital in Geldrop, the Netherlands. It is evaluating the 3D-Shelf in patients for the first time, with a focus on safety and early clinical performance.
